Breeze – Red Squirrel Trail

Central Wight

HSBC UK Breeze offers fun, free bike rides – as well as plenty of support and inspiration – for women of all abilities, all across the UK.

From Wight Bike Eco-solutions, Merstone, on quiet road then bridleway to Godshill Park, over the hill to Appuldurcombe, along the railtrail from Wroxall to Shanklin, down to the seafront and along to Sandown to pick up the other railtrail towards Newport as far as Merstone.

You can have your bike checked over for safety before we set off by the shop's excellent mechanic.

Trails are a little rough in places, hence MTB or hybrid with knobbly tyres needed. This route used to be known as the Sunshine Trail, now it is part of the Red Squirrel Trail so we might see red squirrels on the way. Tea stop at Pedallers Cafe in Newchurch
